Music is a kind of a thing which is largely used in describing the culture of people groups around the world it is an important part of human aspects and their lives and has remained so arguably from the start of the human civilization only. 

To celebrate the same beautiful and soulful music around our world we celebrates the Internation Music Day which falls annually on 1st of October. This day was created with an aim to bring people together around the world through music. 

There is another day dedicated to music which is called as 'World Music Day' which is celebrated annually on 21st June and it is a much bigger event but International Music Day has its own importance. 

It is often debated as to what extent the origins of music will ever be understood, and there are many competing theories which aim to explain it. Many scholars highlight a relationship between the origin of music and the origin of language, and there is disagreement surrounding whether music developed before, after, or simultaneously with language. A similar source surrounding it debates that whether music came as the result of natural selection or  whether it was a byproduct of human evolution. 

Prehistoric music can only be theorized based on findings from paleolithic archaeology sites. Flutes are often discovered, carved from bones in which lateral holes have been pierced. The earliest and largest collection of prehistoric musical instruments was found in China and dates back to between 7000 and 6600 BCE. India has one of the oldest musical traditions in the world as references to Indian classical music are found in the Vedas, ancient scriptures of the Hindu tradition. 

The International Music Council founded in 1949, an associate organization of UNESCO, strongly felt that music had the power to unite communities and foster world peace. The Council, especially its President in 1975, Lord Yehudi Menuhin, firmly believed that music can strengthen relationships and bridge cultural gaps among communities. Realizing this, the Council decided to devote one day in a year fully dedicated to music. The main aim of the day was to promote musical exchanges across the world as they firmly believed that music has a power to unite people from all over the world and to create harmony between them. 

Lord Yehudi Menuhin, was one of the most  most prolific violinist and music conductor for American music at that time, as the President of the International Music Council, he wrote a letter to the IMC members proclaiming October 1 as the 'International Music Day'. He cited reason for it to prevail cultural exchanges among people. Then the the first International Music Day was celebrated on October 1, 1975 in which over 150 countries across the globe have celebrated the power of music to unite societies, communities, and people. 

Exact definitions of music vary considerably around the world, though it is an aspect of all human societies, a cultural universal. Music often plays a key role in social activities, religious rituals, rite of passage ceremonies, celebrations, and cultural activities. Hence to understand anything about a different culture its music can make you understand a bit of it if not much. Hence music is considered as a very important aspect of any human society. 

Today the most popular music is obviously the music which is performed for commercial purpose by artists as people enjoys vibing to it and since there are many genres in music so there is everything for ever according to their taste. Some of the most popular music genres includes pop, jazz, hiphop, edm, classical, instrumental, folk, etc. So music is a things which can give a pleasure experience for everyone according to their taste and needs. 

The great philosopher Plato rightly said, "Music gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and charm and gaiety to life." Just allowing yourself to indulge in music in the moment can soothe our perennially frayed nerves. I think we all dan agree with him on this and it was not just who said things like this as music had always been admired by many great personalities for a very long time. So much today that nobody can deny that music plays a very important role in human lives and without it our life and world will be incomplete. 

Music industry is very large today in the world as it is s billions dollars industry with millions of people employed in it around the world. The Music industry is very lathe which includes various professions like artists, performers, singers, choreographers, DJs, composers and even those who build musical instruments as a source of their livelihood. So if we look at its economic outlook only then also it is very important for our world. 

This day is celebrated with an sim to bring people together as regardless of differences in cultures, languages, races or beliefs, all the humans loves the melody of a music and that can he achieved only through music. Hence music must always be celebrated.

So it is the perfect time for them to be given an opportunity, so why don't you help them in growing by organising an orchestra for them on this day at any public place so their talent can be appreciated by the public and their hard work and talent doesn't go in vain.

Yes music is not all about heavy instruments vrearing a sound, infact music is anything which makes you feel relaxed and gives you a soothing feeling and so to observe that listen to the sounds of the nature on this day which include sounds of chirping of tye birds, flowing of the water or wind, sounds of trees, leaves or shrubs.
